Geraldine is 135km (1.5hour  drive) south of Christchurch, on the inland scenic route to Mount Cook, Queenstown, Lake Tekapo and the southern lakes.

Mt Hutt, Mt Dobson, Fox Peak and Roundhill ski fields are within 1 hours drive or enjoy a round of golf at either a 9 or 18 hole golf course.

Take a 4x4 tour to explore the Middle Earth of The Lord of the Rings country, or take a short drive to Peel Forest national park and take one of the many scenic bush walks suitable for all ages and abilities.  Beyond this is the Rangitata River the home of world-class whitewater rafting and salmon fishing.
